Jan Scrimgeour is an applied physicist with interests in microscopy and soft materials. He received his undergraduate degree in Optoelectronics and Laser Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, before earning a doctorate in Physics from the University of Oxford. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, he discovered the fascinating world of soft squishy things – sometimes known as biology. Jan joined the Department of Physics at Clarkson as an Assistant Professor in 2013.
