Evelyn Riehl is a lifetime resident of Colton, and a graduate of the Crane School of Music. For years she has enjoyed working with young people. She is also interested in local history. Her curiosity about Raquette River history and folklore, particularly concerning the early river drivers, supplied the impetus for her to write a musical on the subject; it was called “Sunday Rock,” and was produced locally in Colton in 1982.
