Enjoy an exploration of the music written for the classical guitar, from the Renaissance to the present day. The course will examine the instrument’s most important composers and musical styles, as well as the physical development of the guitar itself.

Doug Rubio is professor of classical guitar at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. He has performed throughout the country as both a soloist and a chamber musician.
