In this course we will discuss major weather phenomena such as air masses, fronts, precipitation, hurricanes, tornadoes, atmospheric optics, and other topics of interest to the class.

Ray Toland has worked as a professor of physics and mathematics at 5 universities over the past 30 years, including West Point, University of Nebraska at Omaha, Clarkson University, SUNY Potsdam, and SUNY Canton. Ray was an army officer for twenty years, from 1968-1988. Currently he is an adjunct professor at SUNY Potsdam, teaching meteorology, musical acoustics, and physics.
