Learn about the historical development of the French horn by attending this presentation and performance on authentic period instruments.

Professor Emeritus Roy Schaberg taught the horn for 31 years at the Crane School of Music. He is a founding member of the Potsdam Brass and Woodwind Quintets and the founding director of Crane Youth Music. Roy was twice artist-host of the International Horn Symposium, in 1981 and again in 1987. This presentation is a result of a sabbatical to study horn at the Smithsonian Institute with curator Robert Sheldon.

Julie Miller (piano instructor at Crane School of Music) will assist on the keyboard.
