The sky, though it looks static, is in constant motion. In this course we will explore sky motions through the day (and night), the month, the year, and on scales longer than years. This will help us understand how the first clocks and calendars people used were the motions of the sky.
Aileen O'Donoghue has been in love with the sky all her life, teaching astronomy at SLU for over 30 years, plus appearing monthly on North Country Public Radio to discuss the sky, and serving on the board of trustees of the Adirondack Sky Center and Observatory.
