This course continues the chronicle of the life and times of Queen Victoria and her descendants. Learn more about Queen Victoria’s remarkable reign over the British Empire. Delve into her private life. Discover how she and Albert and their descendants changed the history of the world and how they are affecting history, even today.

Fran Van Horne is a retired nursing instructor and a dedicated quilter. She is also a biography-reading history buff who is interested in the private lives of the famous people. She has taught courses for SOAR on the British royal family, as well as courses on the wives of American Presidents. Fran and her husband Otis were named “Super SOARers” in spring 2009.
