This course is designed for people who have a digital camera and don’t know how to use it or who feel very uncomfortable using it. Learn how to: use the camera, take better pictures, edit and organize photos on a computer, and print them out at a kiosk.
- Session 1: Camera basics – settings, operating, composing pictures.
- Session 2: Follow-up on assignment, critiquing photos, answering questions.
- Session 3: Viewing your photos, printing them out (this session held at Walmart).
Vera LaRoe has a master’s degree in fine arts with a major in painting. Vera has 25 years of picture framing experience, she archives photos for a local museum, and has worked part-time in the Potsdam Walmart photo department assisting customers in printing their photos.
NOTES: 1) Bring your digital camera to class, along with all the things that came with it in the box, including cords, battery charger, batteries (charge them, if needed, so you can use your camera in class), 2) Third class session on 10/4 we meet at the Potsdam Walmart Photo section to learn how to print out photos. Cap: 10
