About 20 years ago, Betty Mauk met a multi-talented woman in Texas who encouraged Betty to renew her interest in tatting. Betty likes working with the shuttle to create dainty lace, but she finds that there are not many uses for her lace. Still, she thinks it is important to pass on this skill to others, and she enjoys doing so.
