Mary Jane Watson
Mary Jane Watson has been active in the Raquette River Blueway Corridor Project for many years. She has done extensive research on the history of the Raquette River, including participation in the Raquette River oral history project in partnership with TAUNY. She knows the ins and outs of the construction of its many dams.

Mary Jane has served on the Advisory Committee which seeks to make the Raquette River a regional tourist destination. She has compiled an extensive digital collection of historic photos from along the 174 mile long Raquette River, the second longest river in New York State. She has has visited museums and libraries in the River communities, and talked to many people to learn more about the River. From this research, she has prepared a series of PowerPoint presentations which cover the history of each community along the River corridor.
Mary Jane is a retired CPA with an MA from McGill University in history.
