Aileen O'Donoghue

Aileen O’Donoghue is an active astronomical researcher who loves watching the sky. She holds physics degrees from New Mexico Tech, where she studied both astronomy and atmospheric physics. Aileen teaches physics at SLU, along with courses on global climate, meteorology, climate history, and climate change.  

As of 2017, Aileen is in her 30th year of teaching astronomy at SLU. She is active in astronomical research and LOVES watching the sky and sharing her knowledge of it. As she says, “It’s so enriching to know what’s going on when you look at celestial objects!"
