Donna Demick has enjoyed local history ever since 7th grade when she became part of a N. Y. Yorkers group [a history research club for students in grades 6-12]. She has been involved with the Hammond Historical Society and Museum for several years, and she has organized several "Growing Up with Grandpa Days" for kids.
