Traditional literature consists of stories and poems that grew out of our oral traditions. For many years these stories and poems were passed along by word of mouth before finally being written down. We will look at such things as myths, legends, folktales, folksongs, fables, and nursery rhymes.

John Ohst formerly taught English courses at SUNY-Canton, SUNY-Oswego, and Onondaga Community College.
