This third course offering in the series “Geology of New York State” is a simplified account for the non-geologist of the rocks and fossils of the Devonian Period. Topics include: landforms, geologic history, natural resources (gas and oil), and land-use issues.
Bill Kirchgasser is a professor of geology emeritus at SUNY Potsdam. His research interests include Devonian stratigraphy and paleontology.
NOTE: No geologic or scientific background is needed to attend this course. Cap: 30.
