In this introductory course we will examine a history of life on Earth, how humans have tried to understand the diversity of life, and modern perspectives of some evolutionary mechanisms.
Mike Temkin is an associate professor of biology at SLU. His areas of specialty include genetics, developmental biology, and evolution. Before joining the faculty at SLU, Michael held postdoctoral positions at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA, the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard, and the Smithsonian Marine Station in Florida.
