This series of class sessions on the geology of New York State is a simplified account for the non-geologist. It includes such topics as: landforms, geologic history, natural resources, and land-use issues. No geologic or scientific background is needed to attend this course.

Bill Kirchgasser is a professor of geology emeritus at SUNY Potsdam. His special research interests are stratigraphy and paleontology.

NOTE: Part 1 is not required in order to sign up for Part 2.
