PLEASE NOTE THE COURSE UPDATE ABOVE!  (The "Dining Room" is just straight past the main offices.)

This course explores the uninhibited lifestyles and activities of the Vanderbilts, from Commodore Cornelius to Anderson Cooper, or “shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves” (gaining/losing their wealth) in 5 generations.

Fran Van Horne is a retired nursing instructor who prefers reading biography to reading fiction. She has taught several courses for SOAR: “The Flu Epidemic of 1918,” as well as courses on the British Royal Family and on the wives of American Presidents.
