NOTE: Class Day 2: Bring your E-Book, if you have one.

Traveling and don’t have room for all your reading materials? Interested in reading the complete works of a writer, but the book is just too heavy? Want to read, but the words are becoming blurry in the dim light? Heard a book critiqued on the radio and wish you could read it right now? Find out the solutions to these problems and get some interesting and useful information about e-books. Day 1) A general presentation e-book readers, the Kindle in particular; Day 2) A demonstration of other e-book readers and some “hands on” experience using them (with input and help from e-book savvy SLU students).

Student Assistants: Kathryn Seyfarth, Joe Millett, Lily Noble, Ben Gacicia, and Zach Miglore.

Carol Neubert travels extensively. Jim Barry is Co-chair of the Curriculum Committee and on the SOAR Board of Directors. Jim and Carol are both retired educators and avid readers who get excited about new books and new ways of reading them. Both have taught a variety of SOAR courses.
