In 1812 the United States of America was just a young nation with a scattered peacetime army of only 12,000 regulars and a comparatively small navy, yet America went to war with Britain. One arena of the war was in St. Lawrence County. In this slide presentation you will learn about the role St. Lawrence County played in the War of 1812.

Trent Trulock has been the St. Lawrence County Historian and Executive Director of the St. Lawrence County Historical Association since 1997. He has a M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado, with an emphasis on museums and education, and a B.A. in Anthropology from Indiana University.
