In this course you will get an overview of such things as: concert music styles, musical groups, composers, etc.; we even will discuss such things as concert etiquette. Ultimately the goal is to advance your appreciation of concert music. Please consider attending an Orchestra of Northern New York (ONNY) concert.

Keith Ziemba holds a BM degree in Music Education, and a MM degree in Trumpet Performance and Musicology. He taught public school music for 27 years. Keith is an active composer, arranger and musician.

NOTE: It’s strongly suggested that you purchase a ticket and attend the ONNY concert in Hosmer Hall at SUNY Potsdam on October 27. This concert features Beethoven’s famous 9th symphony which includes soloists and chorus singing Schiller’s “Ode for Joy.”
