Learn something about all the amazing insects out there and how they behave. The focus of this course will be especially on bees, butterflies, ants and aquatic insects that are typically found in the North Country. The second session will take us into the field to see what we can see.

Bill Romey, Professor of Biology at SUNY Potsdam, teaches courses related to the behavior of invertebrates in general and insects in particular. He is especially interested in aquatic organisms such as aquatic insects and bivalves.

NOTE: This course includes a field trip (meet at Maxcy Hall – exact location announced at the first meeting); wear appropriate outdoor clothing. The field trip is on Thursday, 9/22 1:00-3:00 (note that the field trip is 2 hours.
