The North Country is a wonderfully diverse place in geological terms. This class and field trip will help you explore many of the processes that made the land we so enjoy today.

Dan Stromgren recently retired from teaching fifth grade science at Canton Central School. This field trip was always a highlight of the geology unit.

NOTE: The all-day field trip covers ~130 miles by car to view various geological sites (includes restroom breaks and a picnic stop); wear field trip attire – sturdy boots/shoes, sun-block, and dress for day’s weather. Detailed itinerary provided at the classroom session. The field trip has been scheduled for Friday 9/16 8:30 - 4:00. Meet at the Canton Price Chopper to the left of the hwy 11 entrance.
