Find out what is being done to control the black fly population in our region. The presenter will explain how black flies are controlled by showing a PowerPoint on the town of Colton’s Bti black fly control program. (Bti: Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis.)

Andrea Malik started and has been directing the town of Colton’s Bti program for 25 years. She also does consulting and training for other towns which are interested in starting a Bti program. Before her black fly control position, she worked for DEC on a Common Loon project and taught Outdoor Ed.
