This course covers a little bit of many things related to the Arab World such as music, foods, traditions, and myths. At the end of the session the presenter will introduce you to the Arabic alphabet and teach you how to write your name in Arabic.

Originally from Lebanon, Gisele El Khoury came to the United States in 2005 after earning a Master’s degree in Law. She started her teaching career as an Arabic instructor at the University of New Hampshire in 2006 where she taught for two semesters. After moving to Potsdam, she taught at SUNY Potsdam for 3 years. She is now an Arabic instructor at SLU and also Director of the Language Resource Center.
